What a cool concert... The place was excellent and the Magic Numbers were by far the best live gig I´ve been to in years !
The only thing that ruined the whole night was the treatment that myself and my friends received from the crew... After the concert was over, each of us went up to see if there was a possibility of getting an autograph. We asked politely and in return got rudeness and bad manners which was completely uncalled for... Personally, I would rather have had the crew lie to us and say the band had left.
When we left the place, we bumped into the crew again and insults were exchanged. That just put a downer on the whole night... especially when you pay good money to see the band and you have the album.
What a sad way to end a good night . My advice to the band? Enrol the crew in a "Learn basic etiquette" course... |

Normally the roadies are very nice people- doesn't sound like them to be honest _________________ Roo is feeling much finer cos she's not in D minor this time.
"She's the female ChrisB" It's official- as decided by George, Preston 23/10/06. You've said it, you can't take it back now- i'm havin' it.

The crew were from the UK...
We tried three times to get an autograph...
The first time two of us went up, we stood on one of the bottom stairs that lead up to the stage, and asked "Excuse me, do you think we could get this signed?" and one of the crew just replied straight off "Get out of the way!" At the time the guy wasn't carrying anything, nor was anyone else trying to get up or down the stairs, so it wasn't called for, nor were we trying to push past or being aggressive, just asking politely.
I went on my own and asked politely "Excuse me, is there any chance of getting an autograph?" and I got told coldly "Could you just move out the way" by a girl standing there. I was standing on the side and no where near the stage or in anyone´s way.
The last attempt was by another friend: "Hey matey, do you think there´s any chance of getting a signature on this?" and the rude reply was "I´m busy right now and will be for another hour".
I just dont get it... Were they all told to be rude or is it just part of their personality? |

Best to wait outside the gig where the bus is and catch them coming out as the crew have much to do when packing up the gig. Sorry to hear it didn't go well for you _________________ Roo is feeling much finer cos she's not in D minor this time.

I've never had a problem with the roadies, and I'm sorry that you did. The only defence is that they've been working very, very hard on this tour and have only had a couple days off during it, plus they do have a lot to do at the end of the show.
I'd agree with Rhona's advice. _________________ just call me "The Famous Elly"...but not to my face |

Sad to hear the crew was being impolite towards you.
To me they seemed very nice, in fact one of them got me in for free. I didn't have get any tickets in the pre-sale and thought I'd try in front of the club where I saw Romeo. I asked him if he could by any chance get me a ticket. Unfortunately, he said he couldn't but he'll try to get me in for free and walked away. Two minutes later one of the roadies came out and got me in. Thanks again!
The concert itself was awesome. As far as I can remember the following songs were played (exact running order unknown):
Long Legs
Don't Give Up The Fight
Forever Lost
Which Way To Happy
Gone Are The Days
I See You You See Me
Hymn For Her
Love's A Game
Love Me Like You
Mornings Eleven
Crazy In Love
Song dedicated to the tour manager (played for the first time)
Wheels On Fire
The Beard
Regards,
Georg

Nice one Georg muchos gracias!
Wonder what the new ones were? Probably Gone Are The Days and maybe the Buckley thing.
I had tickets for Barcalona which would have been tonight if it had'nt been cancelled.
Interestingly the fault may lie with the ticket agency as the brother in law is having difficulty with a Cake gig in Madrid through the same source. If you see TickTackTicket it's the kiss of death in my experience. _________________ Love will always bite you on the backside! |

One song was in fact Gone Are The Days. Now that you mentioned the title I could recall it. I think the other new one had the word 'cowboy' in its title and fetured a great guitar solo. |

in fact Elly, looking at your avatar, i've realised the 1st time i saw TMN i'm certain Romeo didn't have a beard, and then the second time i saw them (i think about 3 weeks later), he did. Mystery of the mircale beard growing. _________________ Wheeling, dealing, bus-stop dreaming, laying on the floor just staring at the ceiling. |
